Recently watched Lone Survivor with Mark Walhberg. If you're into afghan/tali war movies, you'll do well to find one better than this. Better than Zero Dark Thirty I thought. It's out at the cinemas at the moment, not exactly a date movie but definitely one to watch.

Yeah it was sick. Found myself rewatching some of the late epic scenes as soon as it finished which you only generally do when the movie is really good.

If you know a kid. Use them as an excuse to go see The Lego Movie!

It's totes cool. Think Toy Story but weirder and funnier plus (slightly) less cheesy.

Highly recommend Dallas buyers club. An acquired taste i would say but thought it was fantastic. As good as a performance that ive seen from McConaughy...except how to lose a guy in 10 days.

Not sure if i should put this in the book or movie thread but seeing i just watched the movie, i'll go with that.

Gone Girl was absolutely fantastic. 8.9 on imdb atm and well deserved. Don't think i've watched a 2.5 hour movie without zoning out or thinking it went too long but this succeeded where others have failed. Must see!

Thought the Revenant was great. Brilliant acting, beautiful cinematography and score...all round great move really enjoyed it. Directed by the same guy that did birdman which takes a little bit of time to get used to. Lots of close ups and camcorder like recording.

We saw it with another couple and my mates misses hated it and didn't rate it at all. I was gobsmacked! Interested to hear anyone else's thoughts that has seen it.

Personally, I enjoyed it. Technically, very nice movie and LDC - just wow. WHEN IS THAT OSCAR COMING??
I highly recommend Creed. Really got into it, just like any classic from the Rocky series. Feels a bit like the original Rocky and the fight scenes are very good.
As a Bond fan, Skyfall was very enjoyable. A little more subtle than Skyfall, doesn't quite reach the same level but a very good movie in the series nevertheless.

Surely the oscar is his. Surely. Such a fantastic, versatile actor, it would be a disgrace if he doesn't take it home.

Creed i'm very keen to see. Might do that this weekend actually

    Concussion.

Really powerful movie, especially so for those who are ardent NFL followers but certainly relevant to the AFL. Think Patch Adams who had to retire last year. You also have to consider whether past and present AFL players reported "depression" issues are really depression or diagnosed CTE.

    Awesome. Outstanding. Congratulations.

Mathematically minded, therefore he inserted the Roman numerals for the year in the credits?

Or, actor if he looks like your wife.

Seriously though, attention to detail, so guessing cinematography,CGI and editing.

Fathers get to brag. Especially the non bragging types like yourself.

    Awesome. Outstanding. Congratulations.
