    was just about to post

unbelievable batsmen when he was in form , one of the best of modern times

will join Gayle and all on the T20 circuit , CPL , BPL.

BigBash will be interesting as I think the new SA T20 (if it gets off the ground this season) is scheduled for Nov/Dec.

Hope he does play BigBash , would be incredible.

not quite ADB , but a huge stalwart of Irish cricket , Ed Joyce has announced his retirement after their inaugural Test.

Played for Ireland , England and Ireland again including the WC in 2007 for England and the WC in 2011 for Ireland when they defeated England.

Successful county career too where he captained 2 counties to success.

Congrats Ed , enjoy a Guinness.

Wow - I gather we have a series against England coming up and our guys are in form. Hopefully it’s a good one.

Afghanistan's first ever test starts tomorrow.

10 years ago they were winning WCL Division 5 , amazing journey.

Be curious to see what the curator turns up given the potential threat Rashid , Nabi , Mujeeb etc pose , can they translate their white ball bowling of the last 12-18 months to the Test arena.

Might even seam a bit in preparation for the England tour.

    India without Kohli as well.

    1 game, 1 loss

not sure who picked our squad but we have serious batting issues if Paine remains in the middle order, he just does not score quick enough or can act as a finisher, think his white ball success has come as a opener, however Head also needs to opene so does that mean we move Finch to 4?

5 specialist batsmen plus Paine is never enough so surely Stoinis/Maxwell/head/Finch combo is the 5th bowler

    1. Paine (C)
    2. Head
    3. Marsh, S
    4. Finch
    5. Stonis
    6. Maxwell
    7. the only other options are Short & Carey who were both picked seemingly on their form as openers in the BigBash

do we not have any middle/lower order players in the country ? eg Turner, even think Ferguson or White would have been better for balance

not sure what the selectors are thinking

    wow

certainly wasn't expecting that , all over inside 2 days

won't matter how good their spinners can be if they get bowled out twice in s day.

Just hope their board continues to try and play as many tests as possible so they can learn and develop and other countries are keen to play them.

Tough introduction , steep learning curve ahead of them.
