    This day is called the SC Preliminary Final

    He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
    Will stand a tip-toe when the day is named,
    And rouse him at the name of the Courtesans.
    He that shall live this day, and see the Grand Final
    Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
    And say 'To-morrow is the Grand Final:'
    Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars.
    And say 'These wounds I had in the Preliminary Final.'
    Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot,
    But he'll remember with advantages
    What feats he did that day: then shall our names.
    Familiar in his mouth as household words
    Goldstein the king, Swan and Pendlebury,
    Fyfe, Rocklifff, Goddard, Bartel, and our band
    Be in their flowing cups freshly remember'd.
    This story shall the good man teach his son;
    And this Preliminary Final shall ne'er go by,
    From this day to the ending of the world,
    But we in it shall be remember'd;
    We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
    For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
    Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
    This day shall gentle his condition:
    And gentlemen in Supercoach now a-bed
    Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
    And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
    That fought with us upon Preliminary Final day.

    My apologies to Shakespeare and St. Crispin's Day.
    Is a little light hearted, but is a terrific piece of Shakespeare...the original from Henry V is where the phrase 'band of brothers' originated. Bit of a rehash from 2013.
    Cheers guys and gals.

    I know ol' rusty doesnt really count but still pumped to be still around.

    Ive been stupid stubborn this season refusing to get hodge and shaw due to history of missing games. Just need shaw to do his calf at training this week and i still would have made the wrong call but it would make me feel much better.

    Good luck goodie! I feel like neither of us will be the highest scoring teams in PL this week but luck has definitely been on my side during the finals. Just hope I haven't used it all up

    Bad luck goodie! Definitely was not the best side in PL this year but just being able to cover fyfe/hodge this week was the difference. Look forward to hopefully defending the title again next year

    Well done guys on a great season making the GF and in particular to Benderiffic a deserving winner!!!

    Horrible season and by far the worst for me over the last 4 or 5 years. Just couldn't escape the injury curse this year that I know found a lot of us during the year, but LTI's to Ablett (twice), Rocky, Watson, Bennell, Bartel, Buddy, Parker, Deledio (who I held from rd1 - 5 where he missed all the way), not starting with Fyfe and bringing him in in round 14 - coinciding with his sudden drop in form, etc etc etc just ruined my season.

    Back to the drawing board and will be back bigger and better than ever next year (hopefully still in one of these premium leagues as it is so much fun playing and watching other experienced coaches develop their sides).

    See Y'all through the summer for Pre-season discussions and hopefully again next year!!!
