Awesome start to the season Coach Liam...

The wheat is starting to be separated from the chaff here in the PL. Getting way, way tougher each year and I'll be the first to admit a little lucky to get a guernsey in the big leagues. But although I'm last year's chaff, the Moo Moo cows as runners-up in 2013 and 2014 love nothing more than making cream. And we all know what happens to the cream. It rises to the top. Get on those juicy odds boys and girls!!!

Nah seriously, I'd be placing the lot on Philzsay to win it all... Great price at $16.50. 5 top 1,000 finishes including 3 top 100!! I reckon he is going to bounce back in the biggest way possible and clean up, Clearly Philzsay knows what he is doing, Just need that little bit of luck to fall his way to take him to the promised land.

Will attempt a Prince of Penzance. Had a rails run in 2015, but fell at the Heath Shaw 150+ second last hurdle. Light weighted chance but failed to run on last two attempts at the distance.
Gotta be in it to win it. You bet it I'm in it.

The market has only been open for one solitary day, but punters have already punished bookmaker Lenny for what was deemed as seemingly excessive odds on the experienced team of Philzsay (moving in $2.50). Any punters who are keen on Philzsay to take out the big prize should do so before he moves in any further. Maso's Muppets have also moved in $1.50. Whether this sudden move has come from blind hope or genuine belief from insiders at the club, only time will tell. GTC, Flying Horses and Caleb's Kings continue to move in at the top of the table.

THOUGHTS:

The favourite - Eat 'Em Alive are still the favourites despite an admittedly poor 2015. Punters hold coach Johno in such high regard, that they believe he will undoubtably bounce back and raise the Premier League cup at the end of the year.

Value bet of the week - It's not often you'll find someone with a highly esteemed gold medal with odds of $18. As such, fans of the mighty Courtesans would be highly urged to jump on now.

Avoid - The multi-sport athletes of Flying Horses seem primed to have a real crack at Premier League success after taking out the trophy and prize money in another great sport just weeks ago. Many punters have hopped on the great bandwagon in motion, despite the short odds, which must give the coach real confidence. Industry insiders however, have informed me that the coach of Flying Horses may struggle to juggle the double act of coaching and moderating after becoming the newest moderator on an Internet forum site, potentially leading to lockouts being missed and captain loophole attempts being incorrectly implemented. Time will tell whether the industry insiders are correct in these beliefs, or if they have mistaken the great coach's time management skills.

Nice write up Lenny. Good to see a bit of chat in the PL. being a risk taker, I'll back my team all the way! Top 8 consecutive finishes and managed to get an overall rank of 24 early in the season gives me confidence of holding my own. Just need to be a bit more patient.

Regarding team structure, I'm looking at a traditional 404/506/20 and 404 in the forwards.

Where each coach is given an imaginary figure of money to start with, say $250 for eg., and throughout the year they can try to turn that initial figure into much much more, by placing bets on the SCS PL premier, and each weeks head to head matches.. Thoughts??

May I suggest a PL Tipping Competition for the 17 rounds of H2H matches? I'll be happy to be administrator for the tipping competition, let me know your interest by giving me a thumbs up and I'll put something together to post prior to the start of the season.

I'm not sure it would be too hard to administer, if we did up an excel spreadsheet to record everything I'm pretty sure it'd work alright.
If we had a specific format for all 'bets' to be placed I think that would make it easy, and also easy to then just input into the spreadsheet.

Kind of agree with rocky, the betting idea is great but the logistics seem a bit difficult. The tipping sounds fun though
