How to copy a spreadsheet into your post

    - Go to Advanced Reply (not Quick Reply)
    - Ensure A/A button (button above the B I U buttons) is untoggled so it reads 'Switch Editor to Source Mode' when you hover over it.
    - Paste your spreadsheet into the post
    - Click on the button below the I called 'Table Properties'
    - Select 'Full Grid' from the Table Style dropdown menu
    - Select alignment type if required otherwise it will default to left align

    Any probs, let me know

    Hi guys

We have had a few members request this in the past so we have turned on reply notifications, where if someone quotes/replies to your post you will be notified in a similar way you would if you get repped.

Included in the notification is a link to the reply as well as a link to turn off the notifications if you prefer not to receive them.

    Best of both worlds!

    That's good.

Not that I would want this site to be a carbon copy of BF, but the "Go to first unread post" feature they have is awesome. By clicking on the thread automatically takes you to the last unread post with a NEW tag on the post. ( you have to be logged in ). You don't miss a post and don't have to scroll back to what you think was the post you last read.

    Cheers

If you click on the blue circle with two white down arrows in it (See Below) that is just before a thread it will take you straight to your first unread post.

    Well that's embarrasing.
I knew about the yellow arrow to go to last post but not the blue one.

    Thanks Phil

I should impose a temporary ban on myself for being such a dumbass.

But I've been told there is a secret button somewhere on this website and if you find it you win $50K and a special medal!

    How to add an avatar

First find an image off the net, then save it somewhere on your comp to upload later. Google Image search works best i've found.

    TIPS
    - Choose squarer pics where possible. Pics that are really long or tall will not be suitable.
    - Choose pics where the hero is as prominent in the frame as possible
    - If you only like a certain section of a pic and want to use that as the hero, you will need to crop it to suit.
    - No inappropriate pics, including but not limited to girly pics (you know the ones i mean) and any other tasteless, troll like/baity pics.

Once you have found your image, follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Go to your 'Settings' (top right of the page, above the bye summary)

    Name: settings.jpg
Views: 652
Size: 59.9 KB

STEP 2: Go to 'Edit Avatar' (left hand side under My Settings)

    Name: AVATAR.jpg
Views: 654
Size: 26.2 KB

STEP 3: Click on 'Use Custom Avatar' and the Browse button below 'Option 2 - Upload Image From Your Computer:'

    Name: browse.jpg
Views: 650
Size: 70.3 KB
STEP 4: Locate the pic you have saved on your comp, and click 'Open', then 'Save Changes' just on the right.

    Name: save.jpg
Views: 640
Size: 75.3 KB

Error Message: If you have grabbed an image off the net and not resized it, chances are you will see the error message below.

    Name: error.jpg
Views: 637
Size: 24.9 KB

This means you will need to resize the image before being able to upload. I suspect this is where alot of you have given up and simply said 'stuff this, too hard basket'. Fear not, as I am here to help, see next post

    How To Resize.

STEP 1: Open the pic that is saved on your computer in Windows Paint (or the Mac equivalent whatever it is)

There's a few ways to do this but below is probably the quickest.

    - Right click on the image
    - Go to 'Open With'
    - Open with 'Paint'

    Name: right click.jpg
Views: 616
Size: 81.8 KB

    STEP 2: Click on 'Resize'.

    Name: resize.jpg
Views: 607
Size: 178.9 KB

STEP 3: Change Resize option to 'Pixels' and change the largest pixel number to 75 (the other number will change automatically).

    Name: 75.jpg
Views: 606
Size: 112.7 KB

STEP 3: Re-save this new resized image to your computer and re-upload following same steps found in Post 1.

Any questions or if you are having issues resizing the pic, etc, feel free to PM me.

This site's eventual aim is for everyone to have a display pic. If you don't have one you may find that eventually you inherit one, being your team's logo.

    Great stuff Phil.

A few of you may notice you now have an avatar, most likely the team you support but possibly the AFL logo as it wasn't obvious who you supported.

If you'd like to change your avatar, but can't figure out how, feel free to post here or send myself or any of the mods a message and we can sort you out. We can also change it to your team logo if you've now got an AFL logo.

Also, if doing it yourself, you need to be changing your avatar (not profile pic) in the settings menu. Cheers!

EDIT: also should mention if you like either Phil's pics above, or Ken's pics below, you just need to right click save, then reupload as my original instructions.
