I'll leave the others for you to post later. At least it gives people a hint in which direction to head.

    Brain Teaser

Kelsey Grammar starred in 203 episodes of Cheers, before getting his own show, IN A SPIN OFF, and making 263 episodes of Frasier.

Here's my question, can you think of an actor, with a similar record, playing the same character from one show to the next, where the 2nd show WASN'T A SPIN OFF?

I can think of one, where the actor played a character in 122 episodes of one show, and then played that same character in 363 episodes of another show, which wasn't a spin off of the first show. He also played this same character in 9 other shows, but they were all between 1 and 4 episodes in number of appearances.

Who is he? (He played this same character in 497 episodes across 11 different shows!)

Can you think of any other long running, non-spin off characters across at least 2 shows?

I know this isn't the answer but my first thought was Robert Guillaume, but Benson was a spin off from Soap. And the total episodes across the two was only 209. I'll keep working on it. One of my favourite sitcom actor's.

Det. Sgt. John Munch it is. Well done Doc!

The first show was Homicide: Life On The Streets - which was a great show, but like so many since, it jumped the shark when it started making story lines about the characters personal lives, instead of about the crimes. Gawd, so many shows do that!

The second show was Law & Order, SVU. It is a spin off, but not a spin off of Homicide: Life On The Streets. SVU also jumped the shark, when it started making it about Olivia's private life, her brother etc.

I wonder if anyone else will come up with another example?

It's the 'long running' aspect to your question that makes it so hard. I can think of many characters (played by the same actor) who appeared across a few non spin off shows, however outside of their main show they only appeared in the other shows for between one to five episodes.

I'm going to ask a series of TV based trivia questions.
Try not use sites like IMDB and Wikipedia to find the answers!

    TV Trivia 1
Kylie Minogue got her "big break" in which iconic Australian TV series, that aired a half hour nightly on weekdays?

    Unusual Fact
A very good friend of mine has slept with both Kylie and Dannii Minogue....... at the same time!

Their fathers worked together and were very good friends. When they were over for dinner, the kids were quite often "dumped" into a bed, while the parents enjoyed themselves!

Who is Betty Wilson, and what record does she hold in TV terms?
