First year playing the kfc bbl format. Played the SC format last year and finished 1800th from 35000 teams. What are the major differences between this format and the SC one? Happy to go in the lowest league.

It's pretty different, it's a daily game where you pick 5 players involved from that days games, so it's not a fixed squad with a salary cap and weekly trades, although the scoring seems to be the same.

There's a pretty good article on the BBL's site with a run down on each squad that I used to lock in players for the first 8 days already but you will have to pay close attention to team selection daily to have a crack at the $10k, but as stated hopefully there's a lot less involved so it might be worth it.

KFC BBL has DPP where SC doesn’t (from memory). SC has a separate ALR spit instead. So while both have 11 spots on field, KFC has 5 spots under BAT l, 5 spots under BWL and 1 spot for the keeper. SC has 4 spots for BAT, 4 spots for BWL, 2 ALR and 1 WK. Also, 5 bench spots in KFC (2 BAT, 1 WK, 2 BWL) while there is 4 in SC (1 for each category). Scoring is similar to how it is in AFL, with SC being more inclined to score on impact (in my view). Think you also get bonus points for 6’s. This is how it was last season
    SC: 20,758 (2017) 5,469 (2016) 34,935 (2015) 21,740 (2014) 16,000 (2013) 5,200 (2012)
    RDT: 1,810 (2017) 6,949 (2016) 2,059 (2015)
    BBL DT: 131 (16/17)
    BBL SC: 420 (16/17)
    Drafter AFLW: 37 (2017)

having a quick look at prices, Head , Henriques , S Marsh , Maddinson , Cartwright, Carey and Bancroft look value for money.

Interesting all the keepers have dual position , now to work out the one who won't play as the floating donut.

Anyone have thoughts on how the Scorchers will line up ?

    Marsh x 2 , Klinger , Voges , Agar , Turner , Cartwright , Stoinis
    Bancroft or White man
Behrendorff , Coulter- Nile , Tye, Johnson , Richardson , Paris

    add 2 overseas players

JL has a headache on his hands

    early thoughts

    Bat - 2 Thunder and 2 Heat

    WK - Pierson

    Bowl - 2 Thunder and 2 Heat

will Cummins be available for the first 2 games ?

will Burns benefit from Lynn not playing ?

will the Heat play both Shabbab and Swepson ?

A certainty that S Khan and M Swepson will both play.

Vettori said the addition of Shadab, in conjunction with promising Queensland leg-spinner Mitch Swepson, as well as part-timer Marnus Labuschagne and even Joe Burns, all played into the Heat strategy that has been formulated in his time at the club.*

"The plan from us, ever since I've been here, has been to try and get as many spin overs in as possible" he said.*
"Particularly at the Gabba, because it is a tough place for fast bowlers to bowl."

    Current line up:
    Bat: B McCullum, D Bravo, G Bailey, T Head, M Henriques, (M Klinger, S Marsh)
    WK: A Carey, (J Peirson)
    Bowl: R Khan, S Khan, J Hastings, M McLenaghan, T Mills, (J Behrendorff, N Coulter-Nile)

They have said that David Willey will be the only international player on the list.

Whiteman I'm pretty sure is going to miss the majority of the summer with a finger break that has dragged on for ages (a bit like Tim Paine).

Coulter-Nile re-injured during the week also.

Boy its a strong squad though!!

League codes have been sent out to those who indicated their interest in joining the invite leagues.

If you had indicated interest, but have yet received a PM, please let me know.

Please remember, leagues are not purely based off last years results, many things make up how the leagues were determined.

We have 3 Invite Leagues, everyone who has currently shown interest will be in either the CL, PL or Super League.

    Lets win this league prize!!!

Would anybody happen to have a current injury list or at least know of which players will miss from their first scheduled game?

Would be good to know which players to cross off the list for our starting teams.

    Cheers mate

Willey makes 7 fast options , plus Cartwright , Stoinis and Marsh when he resumes bowling.

Agar , Turner to provide spin plus Voges

Just catching up on Coulter-Nile's injury looks like he may be out for awhile.

Yeah I noticed Whiteman missing from the shield games , hopefully his recovery is quicker than Paine's , cost him (and Australia) years.
