Yeah that is my initial thinking too. Quietly hoping he plays some good footy in the seniors though. When he's up and about he's on of the best at his job, getting him up and about is the hard part though. Worst case scenario he's off the list next year for a rookie in the "2018 Super Draft". Quite smart by port I think with 1 year deals to Mckenzie Trengove and Thomas potentially keeping spots open for next years draft.

Do people believe Rayner could get some good scores despite his fitness problems? Definitely plays like he would have the most immediate impact alongside Davies-Uniacke but his fitness looks pretty awful.

Hard to tell until preseason games show which rookies are up to it, but i have Higgins ahead of Rayner for that HF rookie.

Higgins already locked in as a cheaper rookie but Rayner Dow Brayshaw Cerra and Stephenson are vying for that expensive but worth it spot. Preseason will determine a lot, Rayner looks powerful and a beast but the beep test has me concerned. If not him probably Paddy Dow at this stage.

Interesting tht you chose all the top 6 mids other than Davies-Uniacke. Any reason why? I have him at the top of the list out of the top 6 purely as I think he will have the best opportunity for mid time at North

My bad I should have said I have him locked in and I'm going to choose one more expensive player out of those guys I mentioned. Want to pick two expensive players I'm very confident will play and have a good chance of scoring decently. Davies-Uniacke will be the best of the bunch

That is sexist and promoting violence against women.

The correct word now is "ruckperson"

It is also necessary Fremantle change their name to Frepersonstle in order to prevent bias and discrimination

Early days but which rookie priced players ($202,800 or below) do we think are a decent chance to play round 1?

Would probably be best to comment on players from your own club at this stage.

For the Dees, I reckon Joel Smith ($152,500 DEF/MID) is likely to play round 1 as he looked good last season before he got injured and Goodwin loves him. I'll also probably start Charlie Spargo ($117,300 MID/FWD) as my floating donut too and I reckon he's a decent chance of getting games at some stage.

    J Smith sounds good!

Begley (209k FWD) might be worth a look. Also Mutch (123k MID) or Ridley (123k DEF) could be chances with good preseasons.

Crows rookies at this early stage the standouts likely to play R1 would be Tom Doedee (Jake Lever's spot competing with Kyle Cheney and Alex Keath) and Jordan Gallucci (Charlie Cameron's spot - I think he is almost a lock for first crack at this role) but I'm not sure either will be great scorers.

Of the others as a R1 maybe would be Poholke and Fogarty. Anyone else would be a massive bolter the likes of McGovern a few years ago.

LDU the most likely to play round 1 out of the expensive draftees yeah?

Figure I should have one in my team as a placeholder as it's likely we will start with at least one.

Callum Coleman-Jones (117,300 - RUCK) - With Ben Griffiths gone, the mature bodied ruck/forward could be called upon to provide support to Jack Riewoldt and Toby Nankervis. Averaged 110 in the U18s competition, and 151 in the SANFL18s competition. #SuperCoach #WatchList

    LDU for sure.
Setterfield is the other one, but not a draftee. 195k M/F, the kid is a freak. IIRC he coped a head knock in one of his 2 games of 2017 and missed about half the game. Will be a rookie stud.

I would think Mirra is a reasonable chance for the Hawks - he is a mature player and C of Box Hill, plus we lost Gibbo and had players out of position last year to cover the backs.

Pretty confident we'll see Brayshaw play early games....already being touted as a 'future captain' and obviously rated by the club...not as confident on Cerra at this stage, but with Freo rebuilding, they'll want to get games into these blokes.

Crowden one to watch as a smoky for an early season debut

Not having a go at you or Fremantle because there are plenty of clubs that do this, but future captain on a draftee yet to play a senior game of football. Not to mention a player from Victoria playing interstate who all of a sudden in a couple of months make a life choice to spend a large part of his life on the other side of the country......I'd be happy to get a price rise out of him at this early stage.

Not having a go at a non Fremantle supporter but you must not be a Fremantle supporter! :-)
Champion data are saying we have the least talented list in the AFL and we still remember his grandpa badly reading the sports news every night. Welcome home Andrew. Kiribilli agreement part of the contract but unlike that drunk West Australian Prime Minister Fyfe will keep his word.
