I’m on Henry mate. Partially because it lets me have a look at another rookies score before trading Ryan. I also don’t like having too many rookies from the same team so an extra one from Freo doesn’t sit too well. Finally that 93 in his cycle is pretty tempting.

This is from the Phantom for what it is worth:

Crowden, who dominated the under-18 championships in both years he played, averaging 31 disposals and 141 SuperCoach as a bottom-age player in 2016 and 109 points last year, leads the Dockers for pressure points per 100 minutes since Round 2.

And that’s sure to get a big tick from coach Ross Lyon.

Still not sure which way to go either.

I think this one comes down to your structure.
I think Henry will make cash so if you go him you need to be comfortable he is a FWD only. If you already got plenty of MID/FWD types with link between MID and FWD lines, skipping Crowden and going Henry makes sense, I did not so I have gone Crowden to open up link between MID and FWD lines of Garlett and Crowden.
Crowden like Barry this round, could be gone in a few rounds or be in team for many weeks in a row. None of us really know, It is a real 50-50 call for mine so structure of team probably the deciding part for each of us.

I'm still not sure either. Crowden does open the link to Garlett, and therefore gives the potential to more loops. His JS worries me greatly but this is balanced against the two games after GWS being at home, if he isn't rested. Though Brayshaw, Banfield and Cerra should be rested before him.

Henry more mature body, is definitely needed in the side due to injuries and intercept marking opportunities.

So, having put my thoughts down in writing, and since Crowden has more question marks (for me), I've decided to go Henry.

I do not have Rayner but happy for those that do, that he has repaid some faith.
Nice when you stick to high priced rookie and even if not make you cash straight away they give you something if you stay patient. The trick is being there to grab score when it happens. Hopefully you had E on him and can loophole score or were gutsy and had him straight on field.

Brayshaw for me not repaying faith but thankfully not on field.

For those with English at R3, if you are expecting him to play throughout the bye period and possibly need a downgrade option coming up (perhaps if we don't have one), a "break glass in case of emergency" option might be to trade in an R/F with a good captain loophole draw. That guy is definitely De Koning (Blues) R/F 117k.

He has a good C loophole draw from about R9 (see more here - http://www.supercoachscores.com/thre...l=1#post383803).

This option works particularly well if you have a R12 bye ruck (ie NN/Kreuzer) partnering Gawn but could also work out with R13 rucks (ie: Grundy/Goldy). This is mainly because English will be wasted on your bench at R3 in round 14 when he might be a handy rookie option on field. Getting an R/F helps you switch English onto the field in R14 without compromising your bye structure too much. Although this strategy pins a lot on English actually playing in R14 vs Nth as otherwise it could cost you a donut.

The strategy works better with a R12 bye ruck as R13 has a few more premiums out (ie: Gawn, Trac, Devon, GWS fwds + your Goldy/Grundy) which could put pressure on your side in the fwd/ruc. In R12, we don't quite have that pressure as most might only have Sicily up fwd and maybe one of McLean/Dahl (in addition to your NN/Kreuzer).

Was just something I was thinking about as someone who doesn't have a dedicated C loophole and as someone who plans to hold English as ruck cover all year.

Looking at Max Lynch (collingwood) myself. Haven’t checked out the bye impact but has a great captain loophole draw leading up to the byes.

Good pick up. If you need one earlier than post-byes, M.Lynch is the best one!

Note that Henry had a massive SCT ratio last game. If you think he can keep that up, I would probably pick him, otherwise Fritsch looks to be quite a consistent scorer so far in both formats. Personally I reckon I'd go Fritsch.

Would also like to add that he was playing as a full time inside midfielder.

I have a Balta from Richmond who is likely to play a similar role to TDK, and personally believe is a far better chance of 1) playing and 2) scoring.

I almost didn't get Rayner in my initial team cus well... he plays for Brissy (soz Brissy fans) but now I am glad I did. He has been progressing nicely and may have found his groove. Super impressive vs Richmond and if he can pull off a score like that against a quality side what's stopping him going all out now?

    Maybe wishfull thinking ha

Only averaged 66%TOG across both JLT games.

    His %TOG thus far have been: 66, 65, 61, 59.

Outside the downward trend, it's only slightly under what was observed during the JLT games.
