No cash out but would it be considered a worthwhile upgrade with the bonus of an extra player locked in through the regular bye rounds?
NN to Ryder I would class more as a luxury sideway trade as you're not really getting that maximum cash injection from say a Gawn type and really only benefitting from the difference of Ryder's score to an otherwise Rookie's score for that Rd12 bye. Also, it's debatable whether Ryder will be a better scorer than NN for the remainder of the season, so you could end up losing a trade and potentially points at the end of the day.

Hi Drew, I'm looking at bringing Gray into my forward line, trading Lycett to Ryder, and potentially a sneaky downgrade from Tim Kelly to Rockliff. Westhoff is looking good also, but he's not in my plans at this stage.

Cheers mate, I shouldn’t need another risky type mid, already have Coniglio and Merrett, bringing in Dangerfield this week and with that Kelly will be holding out M8 until the Cats bye. Looking like Port's forwards are their best Premo options (excluding maybe Ryder) so I’ll grab them after round 11 at this point.

Got Ed Phillips last week but might have to consider Ronke even though missed first price rise.
Brendan Ah Chee an expensive option or guys making debut like Heron, Rice and Dylan Clarke. Best to wait and watch for them on bubble and be sensible rather than rogue trading like myself with Ed Phillips last week.
Lachie Keefe on bubble this week as DEF/FWD type but do not like his job security despite handy dpp and byes not far away. Ruck rookie situation with byes coming up gets interesting with Tim English not back and guys like Crossley and McInerney playing right now.

Current status of cash cows with current prices and their previous two scores.

Somehow missed this Hawks hack was playing this week to include in table above.

    His Supercoach details:

    Age: 19yr 7mth Games: 0 Born: October 14, 1998
Height: 198cm Weight: 92kg Position: Forward

    Supercoach Price: $123,900

More interested in seeing how Heron goes this week for Gold Coast and inside mid for Dons in Dylan Clarke. They crying out for inside mids so surely gets extended run at on the nose Dons.

Heron would be perfect for a pre byes downgrade from Coffield/Doedee/Finlayson in a couple of weeks and if Dylan Clarke does get a bit of inside mid time he could be a good point scorer and an excellent replacement for what is dead wood in Dom Barry. Still hoping Barry might make a cameo during the byes though.

Gray has proven that he can put up respectable numbers as a forward, in that 95-100 range. However, his attraction thus far has been playing through the midfield and his scoring have reflected this.

For his current price, I would like to have some degree of confidence that his midfield minutes is going to continue otherwise I'll reconsider and look for better value elsewhere. Those who already own him have enjoyed the highs and I'm not about to join them for the lows if his role is going to change going forward, pardon the pun.

Hinkley said during the week that Rockliff and Powell-Pepper allowed Gray to play more forward. He won't kick 6 goals each week.

was just about to post something similar.

Kenny was very public and vocal before the Showdown on hard ball , contested possession etc etc and put in on Rocky & SPP along with Wines.

If the 3 of them continue to win that with Ebert & Boak , Robbie will stay forward.

Interesting also that Wingard played a lock down role on Laird after 1/4 time.

Always thought Port's best seasons was with a open forward line allowing space for Gray , Monfries & Wingard and allowing Schulz and Westhoff to lead up.

Recruitment of Ryder , Dixon , Watts has completely changed their forward structure.

Will be on Rocky watch tomorrow to see if he is back , was tackling again last week and looked like the old Rocky.

Last Drafted: Round 5, Pick #76 2016 National Draft by Hawthorn Hawks
    Supercoach Price: $123,900

More interested in seeing how Heron goes this week for Gold Coast and inside mid for Dons in Dylan Clarke. They crying out for inside mids so surely gets extended run at on the nose Dons.

Bit rough but it is what it is. But truly excited we have Kerr to make his debut.

Bolton: Pat Kerr will make his debut tomorrow. Charlie Curnow has a tight quad and we don’t want to take any risks.

It's a great feeling seeing kids debut for your club isn't it.

I've finally got to experience that this year with the Eagles Debuting 6 kids, and I reckon we've found some future stars. West Coast in recent years has been very reluctant to debut or play the kids so the change in mindset this year is refreshing.

You can really see the lift a kid debuting brings to the team.

    very true

I think some coaches are like us fans and think blooding rookies will see team go backwards and the competitiveness leads everyone to continue with the tested ways. We underestimate that the energy of new players lifts the whole team and may help reduce any complacency that an established player may have as well.

And you still have a few handy players in the shed who've yet to debut. Speaks volume for your recruitment team and the future looks very bright for your club if they continue on their trajectory.

All good fun. Got to wind up the Hawks fans from time to time.
But, not kidding on Kerr. Anything but a hack. Will impress.
Last week just regulation win against a rabble. This week would be massive if we won.

    G'day OZ

Are you still partying down Lygon Street ?

What's your Intel on Kerr ? what type of player ? Seen him kicking 2-3 goals most week in the VFL although maybe not last week.

    Cheers

Yeah, love it, so many in last 18 months. Could not be more excited. Some really exciting ones from WA too in Fisher and SPS from last years draft. Dow and O'Brien from this last draft look corkers too. Been loving the Eagles ones too. Adam Simmo a beauty backing them in. Want to see more of Petrucelle. In my SC team ha ha.
This week our two key forwards green as it gets. Curnow's out, opportunity knocks.

Pity your Eagles missed on Kelly. Cats got in there before Eagles or Blues could pounce. Well done Cats.

Hands of Hickmott's though. Their ours....
