GnR v midpricer seems to be the general dilemma this early out.

I'm going to try my best to avoid the Griffen, Deledio, Birchall, Armitage types

I'm still undecided. I think I'll look to the 400k players rather than stepping stones this year (will use an expensive rookie or two though).

I feel like Oliver has more to offer. Could end up an uber-premium, if he isn't there already. Depends on who you think is more consistent bc I want both at the end of the year.

Kelly has more room for improvement as a more complete player, further into his career. However, Oliver is untaggable.

With Doch out injured, I'm going to back Simpson. I think he's still "got it".

    For me:
    (93)x22+(70)x8+(97)x14
    Vs
    (95)x22+(93)x22+1 trade

I'm going Hanley and McGrath. Both should see a lot of midfield time this year. Both might feature in my side.

    Williams over Simpson for me.

Mitchell is obviously the safest pick of those 4.
The Rookie coupled with him actually represents the last (15th or 16th?) picked Rookie in your team, so is obviously the biggest gamble of the 4.
Brayshaw will likely (90%) to need a trade used on him.
Coniglio on exposed evidence would appear to be a 19/110 player at best, unless he improves remarkably in one area or another. That still drops to a PIT70 of just under 105, which is very borderline for a starting Mid, even at his price.

There are a lot more question marks over the first group than the second.

    Rookie + Tom Mitchell
We're goin' to need a bigger boat...

Technically the 2nd option appears to be the safer bet, but then again, Dangerfield often gives you the big captaincy scores (which the other three aren't often able to do).

If you're going to have at least 1 other good Captain (i.e.: Mitchell, Martin, etc.), then maybe the 2nd option would work best (but that's also because I'm not personally keen on Coniglio).

    Crouch v. Kelly
Crouch: had 124 average in the last 15 games (including finals), 14 of them over 100. (the other on 91)
Kelly: could easily go at 115+.
