I am interested in this comp, am just having enough trouble picking my "real" team without a second one.

Hi everyone, I wish to direct your interest to a new SCS Cash comp. It's a pretty straightforward comp, once your side is selected thats it, no trades nothing else to do apart from sending payment to IDIG of course.

    The Nuts and Bolts :

Entry 1 payment up front of $20 made to IDIG ( account details to follow) to be in his account by the close of business on the Tuesday before the first game of the season. $1 of the entry fee goes towards the upkeep of this great site that we are privileged to be part of.

Select 30 players the same as you do in SC under the salary cap. This includes 8 def, 11 mid, 3 ruck and 8 forwards. No need to separate bench players as all players are "Live" .

Nominate a Captain, Vice Captain and Deputy Vice Captain. As in SC your Captain scores Double Points. If he dosent play then your VC scores double and in the event they both go down your DVC scores double. The highest 18 scoring players in your team count towards your total score for the round, regardless of positions, positions only play a part in the selection process after that they dont really matter. So players who have DPP dont have any advantage over other players. Thats it no trading just set and forget.

Teams need to be PMed to me by 6.00 P.M on The day of the first game of the season.

    Prizemoney breakup will be:

    1st- 50% of pool
    2ND- 25% of pool
    3rd-10 % of pool
Highest Round score of the season 15% of pool.

Really need at least 20 people to make it interesting. Any questions dont hesitate to ask.

So far we have the following people keen:

    1. Doc Ron
    2.IDIG
    3. Presto
    4. Darkie
    5. Kakarot
    6. Rowsus
    7. Diabolical
    8. Rocketpip
    9. Drew
    10. THCLT

    Account details
Make your $20 payment to the account details below:
    Michael To
    BSB 193-879
    Acc: 486877611
Note these are different account details to previous years.

Include your username as ref, and also post in this thread so i know to expect it.

I will advise doc as payments are received.
    I'm in Doc Ron.

I had to google what 'PMed' stood for, not up to date with abbreviations
Ok, PM means Personal message or private message ........
So, I'm thinking only you will see the team before the lock-out time? Or do we just post our team on this Thread?

Just use the settings button on the top of the page and send your team in to me. No one will see the team until after lockout of the first game. I will send my team to a moderator earlier on for transparency purposes. Probably Philzsay.

    Hey doc,
    quick question.
I know we have to draw the line somewhere, but what happens if all of your C/VC/DVC aren't playing in any particular week?
With injuries and byes, I can see this potentially coming up.
Sorry if it is mentioned elsewhere.
We're goin' to need a bigger boat...

In the words of Imelda Marcos "tough titties" . Normally only have a captain nominated, so i thought i would add the vc dvc just in case. I guess i decided to draw the line at that, as you say it has to be drawn somewhere. If 2 of them were to go down with injuries you would still have one going for you who would miss 1 bye week. This is where the tactics come in to it, do you go for the highest point scorers who may be injury prone or do you play it safe with an average but durable scorer? Hope this explanation has helped. I don't really like changing things once the rules have been set.

First time comp for the site, played it with a group of friends for a few years and thought it might generate a bit of interest on here. So short answer is no, there isn't a winners list but don't worry too much as your in the same boat with everyone else on here. Durability is the key for this comp.

Big thanks to doc ron for this great comp.

I'm happy to announce that SCS will contribute
$50 towards the overall prize pool in support of this competition.

If this is down your alley and you can afford to 'tear up a $20' (to borrow one of Rowsus' latest phrase), then jump aboard for a leisurely and stress free ride through the SC year.

Thanks Jay, hopefully the extra prizemoney will help lure a few more donations to the Doc Ron retirement fund not that i anticipate winning it of course.
