Trades Planned: Rookie to Coffield, rookie to premium?

    Comments:
Was pleasantly surprised to see that I had broken the top 500 for the first time in the overall (aside from Rd 1, 2013). I generally have to fight my way from a long way back so this is a nice change.

To'd and fro'd on whether to trade Bont to another premium or hold him. In the end, decided to jump on McLean and bank the cash. Wasn't looking like a good move for a while but McLean came home strong, even managing to eclipse Bont in what is usually a tailor-made situation for Bont to go big. Hibberd to Gray last week also paying dividends. The trades did change my structure a bit, with McLean playing as M6 and Sicily moving forward to F6 so I could trade Ryan for Richards. This also allowed me to push Fritsch off the field. The plan is to eventually move Sicily back to defence, allowing McLean to move forward and enabling me to continue not having to rely on a rookie at F6.
Kicking myself for once again overlooking the loop, had a chance to get Banfield's score over Holman using Barry! Shame but must let it go now.

Fascinating week ahead, little bit unsure on who to move on for Coffield. Would also like to start upgrading as soon as possible to get a jump on points generation.

Great to see that there are fellow SCS members doing well too - congrats to all. For those who feel as of they are struggling, please hang in there - I know what it's like and you can improve your situation with good trading. Still plenty of time to change the direction of your season. Good luck!

    Onwards and upwards, community!

I thought the same with Hibbo when I traded him two weeks ago but am more than happy to see him gone and replaced by Dusty.

Do it you will feel better but if you have enough cash go up not sideways.

Comments: Best week of the year, things finally coming together. Stoked that all my pods did well. Trades of Hibberd - Mclean (rd 2), Merrett - Oliver (rd 2) and Billings - Gray (this round) have all paid dividends so far. Hopefully this continues to be the case. With only 7 upgrades to do this year, i've taken a more aggressive approach with trading out under performing premiums to players i believe will be top in their positions.

Slightly annoyed i was convinced into getting Henry by an article on the afl site that said Taylor and Henderson had no time frame on their return. Could still be a good rookie but in hindsight would have been better off waiting 2 weeks and getting Guelfi or Mirra who i'll probably have to miss next week.

Trading Brayshaw to Coffield through some dpp magic and getting him on field in defence over fristch/Garlett in the fwds this week. Will hopefully sit tight with trades for 1 or 2 more weeks then look to start upgrading. Looking at getting rid of Holman/Lycett first up and Danger/Grundy in. Good week for SCSBestOfTheBest, up to 19th overall.

    Comments:
By far my highest ever rank after round 4! Because a big number is good right, wouldn’t want to be one of those suckers with a rank not even above 1,000. I mean I am 850 times better than someone only ranked 100th! Right, right?

Just jokes, after a terrible start I am heading in the right direction and only I am the one who can fix this. Have already used 6 trades, and will definitely use 2 more this week. My strategy is to trade out my lowest averaging on field starter, so this week Gray came in which has turned out excellent in at least the short term. This week will either bring in my final FWD premium for the year, or another Def. happy with Kelly and Holman at M7/8 for the while until Danger comes into my side in a few rounds.

Ranking heading in the right direction after round 1 at ~130,000th.

Another thing needing work is my C choices. So far I have had scores of 17x2 (Zerrett - why SC gods why? Did I not offer enough sacrifice to you?), 148x2 Titch (Excellent), 149x2 Titch (Excellent), 90x2 Titch (ok, it wasn’t a 17 but come on!) for an average of 101x2 = 202. Perhaps just unfortunate with Zerrett.

Anywho enough of my ramblings, good luck all and stoked that the Eagles are somehow 2nd after a great start.

    Overall Rank: 8,595 (from 4,797)
Heroes: Laird, Savage, Murray, Captain Dusty, Cogs, Finlayson, T Kelly, Gawn, Sicily
Villains: Bonner, Doedee, Hibberd, SLOANE, Mitchell, Walters, D Smith, Billings, Petracca
    Trades Made: None
Trades Planned: Brayshaw to Coffield, Sloane (if selected) to someone
Comments: Rubbish week, the only non-villain in my fwd line was Sicily and as a Demon fan I really didn’t find that too enjoyable (in fact half way through the third quarter I wandered across the road to have a beer with my neighbour who is a die hard league fan and I knew he wouldn’t talk about the footy). Sloane has enraged me, I hope they rest him this week so Danger can drop some more in price. If Sloane is selected then maybe a swap to Zerrett or Oliver. Hoping it was just a rough week, not happy to see my ranking almost double though.
