I grabbed him 2-3 weeks ago because he was ‘danger’, not because he warranted a pick and it has now sent my season even further back.

I do understand the urge to want to get him sooner rather than later though. He’s one of the few guys in the comp that is capable of a 200 but if I had my time again I wouldn’t have grabbed him (hinfsight is a beautiful thing etc).

It will be interesting how they all go Sunday. I believe this is the first time this year where all the big midfield names have played together.
Danger even at 50% still manages to hit the ton or just slightly below that so he is still quite a good prospect I feelat the right price.
Should dip below $600k this round so next 2 weeks could be the time to bring him in.

anyone have an opinion on Finlayson to Hibberd V Billings to Zorko?
I have Kelly at M8 so zorko would take his spot

I was burned by zorko already and traded him out 2 weeks ago as well

I think Hibberd is better for my structure in terms of getting rid of rookies quicker but zorko hard to pass on if he is back

I would do Finlayson to Hibberd as opposed to Zorko.
Kelly at M8 is much better I feel as Zorko can really get tagged out of games.

    Agree with this.

I think there's a smaller chance that Finlayson delivers at keeper level from here than Billings. I know Billings doesn't look like he will at the moment, but we could have said the same of Zorko and/or Hibberd a couple of weeks ago, and now they are trade in options for you.

Also seems to be little evidence that Zorko can handle a tag - is, it's possible that very little has changed in terms of what was weighing on his scoring.

So, i picked up Ronke for Billings yesterday and i am undecided about my second trade. It is a must do as McGovern out means i currently have a zero in defense.

    Options:

McGovern > Yeo/Hurn/Howe - Like for like. Possibly the best option i have.
McGovern > Spargo via dpp - I have most of the big name rookies to trade out in the coming weeks (Murray, Finlayson, Doedee, Kelly, Holman, Fritsch, Higgins, Henry). Do i need another rookie this week?

Alternatively, i can keep McGovern and trade out Murphy (Adelaide B/E -51) and get one of Yeo/Hurn/Howe.

    Thoughts?

Given you have Ronke, Higgens and Henry making great cash I’d be tempted to pass on Spargo and grab Yeo.

I think Spargo will be better than many of the upcoming bubble boys, and with that many rookies to trade out you will need some good replacements, so I would take the better rookie and upgrade next week.

Thanks guys for your advice. Decided to go Murphy > Yeo and keep McGovern for now. If he's out for another 2 or 3 weeks he will become Simpson or Howe next week.

Missed Ronke (what a performance!) but feeling good about...

    Billings ---> McLean
Banfield ---> Spargo (as long as he holds his spot)

Cut my loses on Mirra, could handle 1 non playing rookie on DEF bench but not too.

Other benefit was swinging Finlayson to DEF and being able to get a look at Cole's score using Murphy and deciding if I take Cole or Murray . Now I have (atleast for this week some cover im Cole.

    Mirra to Spargo (via Finlayson)
    Billings to Oliver

    Worked out well around
