I'd be keeping Billings. I'm an advocate for backing in your premiums until the cows come home. However I did trade Hibberd.

Really don't think Billings is worth trading at his current price. Finlayson ready to be chopped I reckon.

I can't fit zorko in (Fyfe, Mitchell, Martin, Oliver, Danger, Cripps, Cogs, Kelly) but it is clear 'paper' value. 450k!
Well id be in the same boat as he would likely become Danger anyway but I feel stupid trading him in now before Danger when my midfield is:

Fyfe, Treloar, Mitchell, Martin, Cripps, Cogs, Merrett, Kelly

Maybe I should just hope Merrett catches back up by round 15 to trade him or Kelly to Danger rather than burning 2 trades to get Merrett to Zorko and then Zorko to Danger.

But if I want Merrett to Danger I likely need another trade to generate the 150-200k the Merrett to Zorko trade looks to get me.

What Im betting on in doing option A or B is basically Merrett vs Zorko for the next 5-6 weeks.

Zorko cops Jacobs soon though, Merrett cops him round 15 when Id be trading in Danger anyway.

Zorko has a BE of -9
Merrett has a BE of 141

If they both scored 100 the next 2 weeks, based on their 3 round averages id make around 100-150k (between Merrett dropping and Zorko rising)

1 trade netting 150k looks good to me.
Don't where how you're working those projections, but if both were to score 100 over the next 2 rounds, I have their projections going into Rd11 at:

Z Merrett $467,300 with a BE of 84 [a lost of $17,900 on his current price]
D Zorko $515,100 with a BE of 107 [a gain of $56,100 on his current price]

Total potential cash gain from this trade based on the above figures is $74,000.

Also, assuming that both Zorko and Dangerfield goes at 100 up to Rd14, their respective prices will be $509,400 [Zorko] and $536,800 [Danger].

So you'll need $27,400 to execute on the Zorko to Danger trade in Rd15, giving you a final net profit of $46,600.

In summary, 2 trades to essentially move Zerrett to Dangerfield in Rd15 for a net profit of $46,000 and zero points difference.

FYI - Applying the 100 score for Zerrett up to Rd14, his price projection will be approx. $488,500 so the cost to trade up to Dangerfield in Rd15 will only cost you $48,300 but at a cost of only 1 trade .

How did you Calculate that for Zorko?

His BE is -9 this week, so wouldn't a 100 put him up around 40k just this week alone and then still have a small BE with a 121 and 100 as his 3 round averages at a price of $495,000?

Also how could Zorko have a BE of 107 at $515,100 if he had 2 100's as his 3 round averages?

Even so..the total cash generated is going to be at minimum 100k over 3-4 weeks if Zorko slightly outscores Merrett?

Can you tell me what Danger would be after round 14 if he went 120, 120, 120, 120, 120 between Rounds 9-13?

Finlayson to E Yeo is just about locked in but who should I bring in for A Naughton?

    I Cumming, L Murphy, B Rice or J Ridley.

Whoever is brought in will be filling in for Hurley until he returns and saving me from copping a donut unless Mirra plays.

Selecting one of the defender rookies priced around 120,000 allows me to upgrade Lycett and Guelfi to Ryder and R Gray comfortably in Rd11 using 2 downgrades in Rd10 to free up sufficient funds.

Murphy could be traded to a sub 400,000 D7 during the byes but selecting him means I have to rely on Guelfi increasing by around 60,000 in RD9/RD10 or I have to sacrifice Holman in rd11 but I would like to keep him (Holman) during the byes.

    Greatly appreciate any advice/feedback.

    D Zorko $459,000 with a BE of -9, scores 100 next 2 rounds:

    Rd10: $507,000 with a BE of 82
    Rd11: $515,100 with a BE of 107

    P Dangerfield $604,900 with a BE of 119, scores 120 from here:

    Rd10: $604,900 with a BE of 104
    Rd11: $612,000 with a BE of 125
    Rd12: $609,600 with a BE of 124
    Rd13: $608,000 with a BE of 123
    Rd15: $606,700 with a BE of 122

    plans this week was
Naughton to Phillips (via dpp in Coffield)
Doedee to Danger (via dpp in O'Conner)

will be playing weak in the def with Finlayson and Coffield at D5 and D6 with Duman not named that plan ^ means i have no def bench cover with O'Conner and Duman

another way is prevent this is
    Naughton to Keeffe
    Doedee to Danger (via Coffield)

which means i have at least 1 bench cover plus can loop 1 of and have to field 1 of Keeffe or Finlayson.
my question really is, is it worth the risk with having no bench cover in the def and also does Keeffe have good job security to be worth of value to trade in this week?

Firstly, Murphy would be the one I would take from your options as he has the most exposed form of the lot. He played well in his first 3 games before getting injured and hasn't had an opportunity to re-stake his claim as part of their team. The opportunity has presented itself now, so if he continues on from the form shown in his first 3 games, he may continue in the team for a while longer.

With regards to Guelfi, if he stays in the team over the next 2 rounds, he needs to go at least 60 in both games to secure that $60k increase which you require to execute on your preferred trades.

Hope it works out for you...

Last week i went Murphy to Yeo and this week Murphy is back in the Adelaide team. Is there any validity in going Finlayson back to Murphy, considering the bubble rookies this week? Or is his job security too poor to worry about him in this circumstance?

    Finlayson > Murphy
    Doedee > Sicily/McDonald/Shaw

    Alternatively:

    Finlayson > Phillips
    Doedee > Sicily/McDonald/Shaw

I'm 90% sure I'm trading Hurley, even if he comes back after two weeks that team isn't exactly settled. A hamstring is usually 3 weeks at least which means you'll have him for a game then his bye. Its not as if he has a low B/E either.

What is the consensus on Ronke? Unsure if it's a better option to bring him in, or Phillips a week early. Any thoughts?

Doedee to Yeo and Coniglio to Danger.

Coniglio cops the Jacobs tag and Danger has 200.

Just shows how far Billings has fell to even consider trading him out over Finlayson.
I would never have even considered it but seems quite pointless to trade him out at this stage.

Which option do you guys like? $393k in the kitty.

I wasn't planning on trading JOM until his bye but seeing he's out with an injury and a B/E of 100, now is as good a time as any.

    Option 1: JOM/CEllis to Oliver/Zorko, 10k left
    Option 2: JOM/CEllis to Zorko/Sicily (via Finlayson), 45k left
Option 3: JOM/CEllis to Oliver/Heater or Hibbo (via Finlayson), 24k left
    Option 4: JOM/Doedee to Oliver/Sicily, 64k left
    Option 5: JOM/Doedee to Zorko/Sicily, 173k left
    Option 5: JOM/Billings to Zorko/Menegola, 183k left
    Option 6: JOM/Billings to Oliver/Menegola, 74k left
Option 7: JOM/CEllis to Zorko/Sicily or Menegola (via Spargo), 45k/63k left
    Option 8: Doedee/Finlayson to Sicily/Yeo, 29k left (Holman and 2 of Spargo/ZGL/Guelfi start)

In hindsight i probably should've just asked for suggestions lol but i've typed it all out now so yeah those are the main ones i'm considering.

If i don't go with option 1, the plan will be to bring Rocky in after this bye. Too much value for me to ignore!
