Traded Billings to McLean I think around round 5.

Hold Petrock, already fallen a lot. is 40 score due to lack of training issue or something else. Seems to be playing more forward since the finger injury. will give time to see if recovery in scoring.

Moved both on last round after getting lucky with Fritz (e) allowing me to hold English.

If I still had either I would be taking a second look at Lobb as a sideways option.

Planning on either Billings to Ronke this week or Billings to Walters after Walters plays two games.

I'm planning for Petracca to end up as my F7.

My interest is in Petracca. His scoring started well, but then has been going down hill.
I can't make a decision to trade him out or not, until I know the reason for his scores going down.
    Does anybody know?

Thankfully I only started with Petracca (though I did start Lobb and Stringer so the theory is still out there...).

As soon as I heard about Petracca's injury, my first reaction was to trade but had to prioritise Rookies for Rd7 so had to absorb his 40 and subsequent $36k lost for that round.

Up until this year, I would've been more patient and conservative, but not this year...especially when it's the type of injuries which I feel has a negative impact on a player's output.

Can someone explain to me the attraction of both players in the first place, not being facetious, just genuinely want to know.

For me, the expectation of increased midfield time in what i thought would be improving teams.

Petracca had taken massive chunks out of previous time trials so the assumption (for me) was that his tank had improved.

Billings was perceived to be in a similar mould to McLean, having a big 2nd half finish to 2017. McLean had the fortune of Libba's injury cementing his prospects whilst Billings (and the whole STK team in general) have gone backwards at a fast rate of knots. This kind of things happens...

Petracca was due to talks of potential increase midfield minutes. This was evident during the JLT and carried through in the early rounds, but he hasn't grasped the opportunity with both hands and the recent finger injury has all but extinguished his potential to be a good selection at his starting price. For me it was him or Hogan, and we all know hindsight is a wonderful thing.

My understanding preseason was that they were possible breakout players.

I mean besides the bitten finger. There must be another reason for Petraccas poor recent performances then a sore finger, ay.

For me it was improving young players in improving teams. No.2 and No.3 in their drafts. Worst case scenario is to sideways them during the MBR which is still the plan but I could never have forecast they would be this bad. Surely Billings is carrying an injury.
They were never locks and Petracca vs Hogan was a toss of the coin.

I’m holding both ... just in case one of them cracks the tonne in a game before seasons end ... then I’ll be able to quietly smile to myself before boastilly coming on here and saying “I told you so!”.

Not sure where my team will be ranked by then?

I included Billings in my starting team partly on advice on this and other forums, and because it seemed reasonable that he was a potential breakout player in an upcoming team. However at present both he and his team are in a serious form slump. I intend to hold him as I remain confident his season will turn around. His form from previous years indicates he is a reasonable player.

Holding Trac as a possible late season loophole option. Ditching Billings. Say replays of Billings missing from the goal square and clangering set shots thru not making the distance. Doubt he's going to turn things around.
