    This Rounds default tips:

Home team: Gaff & De Goey
    Away team: Ryan & Redden

Those default tips will alter, if your opponent has chosen one of them.

I have given my selections to Philzsay, so you may pm me your selections whenever you want.
You may alter them as much as you want, up to Friday nights lock out.

Remember, you can pick as many players as you want, but must spend at least $1,000,000

The Draw will be released Thurs. This gives late entries a chance to jump in.

If you don't see the late out, or miss replacing that player, then the following rule applies:
If that player coming out of your selections still has you over the $1,000,000 minimum spend, the player is NOT replaced.
If it takes you under the $1,000,000 minimum, you will be given the cheapest player of $450,000 or more, that your opponent doesn't have, and that still gets you over the $1,000,000 minimum.

If you fail to submit tips before lockout:
If you are the home team (first listed in your match up) you will be given the cheapest player available, and then the most expensive player available, that keeps you as close to the $1,000,000 minimum as possible.
If you are the away team, you will be given the most expensive player available, that is under $500,000, then the cheapest player available, that keeps as close to the $1,000,000 minimum as possible.
So, is it possible to pick the same players as your opponent for basically a nil all draw?

Technically it is possible, but it seems like a highly unlikely thing to happen, given how many players you get to choose from, and that there is no set amount of players to choose.

As an example, I have picked 4 players for my team this week!

4 players must be at least 1.8 mill, so the idea is not to be close to $ 1 mill but to rack up points and hope you don't lose too much with the penalty.

Think I might have to re-think my selections and send a new pm in due course.

I see what you did there!

I have narrowed down selections, just waiting on team announcements now, then I’ll send mine off. Can’t wait to see the varied tactics employed.

Well, it looks like there is only 8 of us.

    So here's what we'll do.

We'll play 2 matches each, each week. You are eliminated once you have 4 losses.
This still applies, even when we get down to 2 players. If player A has 3 losses, and player B has no losses, then player A has to win 4 matches in a row to win the competition.
If we get down to 2 players, and one or more is sitting on 0 or 1 loss, then they will be asked to pick 2 different teams, and play 2 matches each week.

The Draw will be out very shortly.

7 out of 8 have submitted tips, just KLo30 to come. Lockout start of Fridays game, if you want to alter your picks.

I think this week will be a learning experience for us all, and it will be interesting to see how peoples approach alters for next week.
Of course, suddenly we have less players to choose from, too.
I think it's going to be interesting. It's not giving too much away to say the least players picked is 2, and the most is 6.

I know we haven't hit lockout yet, but all the tips were in, and I'm not sure when I'll be home again.
The blue score on the right is the score your selected player needs to beat, to be considered a good value pick.

Very interesting, I reckon this will be a(nother) good comp. No common players in game 1 but three in game 2!

So basically, everyone's par score is 220, no matter how many players you chose.
    ie Your "free" $1,000,000 x 0.00022 = 220

Diabolical holds a 1.4 point advantage over doc ron
Darkie holds a 38.1 point advantage over Presto
Rowsus and KLo30 are all square
THCLT holds a 23.1 point advantage over blue dreamer

The Hall injury is a real stroke of bad luck for those who picked him in this format, given how small our “teams” are.

It looks like par (220) is a hard score to crack!
Interestingly, it looks like picking more players might be better than less ......... up to a certain point!

    Game 1 Update:

doc ron holds a 17.7 point advantage over Diabolical. Diabolical needs 264 from Grundy + Coniglio.
Darkie takes a 55.4 point victory over Presto
Rowsus holds a 35.7 advantage over KLo30. KLo30 needs Grundy to outscore Waite by 72.
blue dreamer holds a 94.3 point advantage over THCLT. blue dreamer needs 6 from Waite
