Richmond will welcome back star midfielder Dustin Martin for their much-anticipated AFL clash with Geelong.

Martin missed Friday night's loss to Port Adelaide with a calf strain and used the enforced break to visit his deported dad in New Zealand.

The Brownlow Medal winner's return further enhances what already looms as a tantalising match-up.

The reigning premiers are in second spot on the ladder ahead of Sunday's encounter with the fourth-placed Cats at the MCG.

"Dustin's great ... he had a good running session (Monday) and he's symptom-free," Tigers performance manager Peter Burge said.

"He just needed an extra day or two from the soreness of last week. Unfortunately, with the six-day break, we just got caught a tiny bit short.

"So he'll be fine for this week (against the Cats). We expect him to train all week and play."

No Naughton for those still holding him. Also expect a few changes to the team that faced the crows a few weeks back in similar conditions.

    Western Bulldogs @westernbulldogs
LB: Aaron Naughton will have another week off this week,he’s a young player and still a bit sore. Zaine Cordy will come back in this week

LB: We’ll have a different look to our line-up when we head across there for tomorrow night. We’ve learnt from last time when we played across at Adelaide Oval in the wet.

God I hope Laird is back, both as a supercoacher and a Crows fan, but at least Dusty is back, hopefully he’s refreshed and ready for a big back end of the season.

with Watts out they may go smaller as well , they were too big against the Cows when they played over here.

More rain forecast too , might be a tough , close , contested inside game , maybe Rocky or Bont as VC

has he broke/fractured his hand ? or chipped a bone ?

If the former you would think he would be out for a few weeks at least.

Nice little bonus when your FD gets games over the bye rounds...little bit of luck in an otherwise so far luckless season!

He'll play, you don't fly him to Sydney to not play him. If he wasn't playing he would stay in Perth and get a WAFL game in.

Also interesting to note the Eagles updated our injury list today and list Jack Darling (ankle) as 5 weeks.

5 weeks of Brander would be handy.

The Western Bulldogs have made four changes for tomorrow night’s clash with Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.

Key back Zaine Cordy (concussion) will return to the Bulldogs’ side after missing the Dogs’ round 11 loss to Melbourne, while Mitch Wallis, Lukas Webb and Shane Biggs have all earned a senior recall.

Tory Dickson (hamstring), Matthew Suckling (achilles) and Dale Morris (knee) are unavailable and Jordan Roughead has been omitted.

PORT ADELAIDE has made three changes for its big clash with the Western Bulldogs on Thursday night at Adelaide Oval.

Todd Marshall, Jack Hombsch, and Lindsay Thomas have all come into the side that defeated the reigning premiers last Friday night.

Tom Jonas suffered a slight hamstring complaint during Port’s victory against the Tigers, while Jack Watts and Jake Neade have both been omitted.

and Josh Battle.........alhough with Acres listed as 2 weeks away and Josh Bruce playing VFL, I think Battle JS is not as secure as we would like, despite a cracking first game against a quality side.

LITS, any feedback on his scoring levels at WAFL level. His feedback suggest inconsistency at U18 Champs.
