True, however the downgrade to Leuenberger reaps 200k and they both would average around the same..in theory.

Hmmm yes what to do with Roughnut. Unfortunately I was preoccupied with marching Zac Smith off the premises. Acheived that by moving Cox from Fwd to Ruck and bringing in Monfries. So cost me a trade and saved a few bucks iirc. Jack Watts I fixed by downgrading to Pittard. Now while Pittard scored less this week its still better than they 0 from Watts and he goes up in value still.

Now onto the topic of this thread. Rodney Danger. He is just one of those players I don't believe enough. For me JPK is more matured. I had JPK last year and again this year. I pick him because in SC he wins the ball and that equals SC points. So even when tagged and his disposals are down there are points for contested possession.

So now, is Luke Hodge the new go to man for a mid upgrade.

Yeah Dangerfield is going to be priced about right in a couple of weeks I reckon. 550k and I'd think he was a good get. Bloody byes though means I probably won't. After that, it depends on form but I'll prolly still stay away

I think that there are a couple of risky but decent value trades for me this week and I'm looking at Blicavs -> Leuey and Kommer -> Hodge. Will leave me 370k to play with and Whitfield to upgrade. My bye structure will look like:

    Premiums Mids
    Rookies
    Total
    Short
    Rd 11
Fyfe, Griffin, Hanley, Hodge, Leuenberger, Martin, Rockliff
    Monfries
    Goodes, Pittard, Stevenson, Colquhoun, Wines
    13 1
    Rd 12
    Bartel, Cox
    JJK
    Daw, M Jones, Viney
    6 -
    Rd 13
    Ablett, Gibbs, Goddard, Pendlebury
    Wright
Brown, Dwyer, Macaffer, O'Meara, Rowe, Whitfield
    11 -

So a quick look at that shows that I'm in a world of hurt come round 11 and that I need to spread some of the pain into round 12. Could go Leuey -> Goldy and Monfries -> Stevie J and upgrade the Port rookies into Beau Waters.

While round 13 doesn't have me losing too many premium points (leagues are a concern for me) I'm down to 19 players available.

So while I can see Dangerfield getting to a good price in a couple of weeks, especially if he goes sub 100 this week, I'm pretty reluctant to bring him in. Especially with Joel Selwood (Rd 12 bye) dipping towards 600k or so in a couple of weeks. If I take an extra rd 13 premium, Dangerfield will also have competition for his spot from Jobe and in particular Swan who have both shown premium status for longer. Then there's the small matter of Cotchin and Delidio after round 11 and I haven't even mentioned JPK who fits nicely with a round 12 bye. That pretty much makes up a full midfield and until Fyfe goes down, I just don't know where I'll be able to fit Dangerfield. Will keep an eye on him though.

Is it time to get in the Danger man after Adelaide appears to have returned to form?

The man is now averaging 114.5 if you discount his illness affected game
